Carol holds prestigious leadership roles, serving as the Director of the International Trade Committee of IBRAC – Brazilian Institute of Studies on Competition, Consumption and International Trade, and as the esteemed Co-Chair of the International Trade and Customs Law Committee of the IBA – International Bar Association.

Practices in the areas of International Trade and Customs Law, advising domestic and foreign companies on matters involving significant technical complexity and economic relevance, including issues related to trade remedies (dumping, subsidies, and safeguards), tariff policy, trade facilitation, and regulatory aspects of import and export operations.

Her practice in trade remedy investigations includes representing Brazilian producers and exporters in proceedings before foreign authorities, such as the European Union and Argentina.

Her experience covers a wide range of sectors, including the chemical industry, tires and rubber, glass industry, pharmaceutical and optical sectors, consumer goods, apparel and footwear, electronics, as well as food and beverages.

She is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, and she holds a law degree from Centro Universitário de Brasília and a degree in Business Administration from Universidade de Brasília.

She was awarded 1st place in the International Trade Monographs Competition (undergraduate category) in 2021 and 3rd place (graduate/professional category) in 2024, both granted by the Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos de Concorrência, Consumo e Comércio Internacional.

Having worked at leading law firms, has advised domestic and foreign companies from a wide range of sectors on highly complex transactions of significant economic relevance. Professional experience also includes Competition Law, with an emphasis on risk assessment, administrative defense proceedings, settlement negotiations with authorities, and legal support for transactions with an international dimension.

Holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Brasília and is admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association.

Holds a Master’s degree in International and European Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and a Law degree from Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB). Member of the Brazilian Bar Association (Federal District Section).

Has solid international experience in developing strategic legal solutions in multicultural contexts. Previously worked at leading law firms and within the legal department of a multinational company, advising on cross-border matters involving Latin America, Europe, and North America.

Professional experience includes compliance, commercial contracts, and civil litigation, with a focus on risk mitigation and legal support for global operations.

Senior in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). Holds an MBA in Controllership and Finance from Mackenzie Rio and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidade Estácio de Sá. With more than 18 years of professional experience at multinational companies in the areas of budgeting and financial governance, Carla brings extensive expertise in financial data analysis, cost structure assessment, and accounting compliance.

Carla is well equipped to support stakeholders throughout the entire antidumping process, from questionnaire responses to verification audits conducted by investigating authorities.
